Dr. Nalin Wijesekara is a Consultant in Diabetes, Endocrinology, and General Internal Medicine with over 18 years of experience at the consultant level. He currently leads the Diabetes and Endocrinology Department at Medway NHS Foundation Trust.
Dr. Wijesekara earned his medical degree from the world-renowned Karolinska Institute in Sweden — the institution responsible for awarding the Nobel Prize in Physiology and Medicine. Before moving to the UK in 2014, he refined his expertise as a Consultant at major teaching hospitals in Stockholm, Sweden.
Recognised by his patients for his calm, reassuring manner and his ability to translate complex medical issues into clear, actionable advice. He believes in a holistic, collaborative approach, ensuring that every patient receives a personalised treatment plan. Every patient receives a clear written summary of their appointment, sent directly to both the patient and their GP.
Fully registered with the General Medical Council (GMC). Dr. Wijesekara practises in full accordance with GMC Good Medical Practice guidelines.
